REU Rebate Notification Letter
REU Rebate Notification Letter
December 20, 2017
To Whom It May Concern:
You are receiving this notice because you may have provided services to Redding Electric Utility (REU) customers for which they have received an energy efficiency rebate.
On December 19, 2017, Redding City Council approved REU’s plans to adjust the current rebate offerings in order to maximize benefits to the community. Planned modifications will focus on retiring rebates that are not considered cost‐effective based on State of California regulatory guidelines, and adding new rebates to the Program.
While some currently offered rebates will be retired, others may be modified with planned improvements such as the addition of an Energy Star refrigerator rebate, a rebate for dual‐pane windows that replace single‐pane windows, and a “drill and fill” wall insulation rebate for residential customers. There will be a revision to the existing Lighting Program for commercial customers as well as additional rebates for commercial food service equipment, refrigeration efficiency improvements, and comprehensive energy efficiency projects. REU plans to launch these rebates on our website January 2, 2018.
Please visit www.reupower.com to review information regarding rebate programs, forms, and requirements. To ensure a seamless transition, until February 12, 2018, REU will continue to accept energy efficiency rebates under the current guidelines for products and services purchased prior to December 31, 2017. (Please note that Solar PV Rebates are not considered energy efficiency rebates.)
Thank you for helping your customers save energy by participating in REU’s energy efficiency rebate programs.
Sincerely,
Redding Electric Utility
