The Executive Summary #06

The EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
by Joe Chimenti

Success is never entitled… it is earned.

Our community today faces many challenges. These challenges are not unique to us…and there is a solution. Grow our economy…and the quality of life improves.

Our community today faces many challenges. These challenges are not unique to us…and there is a solution. Grow our economy…and the quality of life improves.

This requires all of us to recognize and develop our valued resources. For the Trade School, our resources are those young people who enjoy working with their hands, who appreciate the artistry of what they make and embrace the satisfaction that comes from a job well done. We will always need office buildings for our businesses, warehouses, and factories for our commerce, stores for our retail items and services, and homes for our families. We will always need a skilled trades work force

AND…It starts with training. When you train…you turn obstacles into opportunities…creating a sense of purpose and hope for the future. With this, self-worth and personal value begin to build…and the ability to succeed starts to manifest. What once seemed impossible…is not only probable…it is expected!

1 student, 1 class, $1 of investment at a time. This is how we transform our community from good to great.

And so the tag line for the Trade School…

Train. Build. Succeed.

So I would like to leave you with this. We have 2 strategic imperatives that we must achieve:

  1. Establish a world class trade school that serves our rural population north of Sacramento. Create a training institution that people aspire to be a part of. We will engage educational institutions, labor organizations, and community groups to provide the best career opportunities for our students.
  2. NO student should ever be denied the opportunity for a rewarding career because they don’t have the money. We are committed to finding the financial resources necessary…to provide the opportunity for success…to anyone who has the interest, the motivation, and determination

In closing…Success is never entitled… it is earned. When we create an environment of learning, in which individuals can exploit their strengths and realize their potential…excellence emerges.
