Carr Fire Recovery: Debris Removal

The State of California, along with the financial support of the Federal Government, is aiding our community with fire debris removal.

There are 2 Phases:

  1. Hazardous Household Waste removal
    1. Shasta County has declared an environmental emergency which allows clean-up crews to enter private property and remove hazardous waste
  2. Fire site debris removal
    1. With the property owners approval, crews will thoroughly clean the burn site

Please visit:   Carr Fire Recovery

  • Scroll down and cursor on: Debris Removal
  • Read ALL information
  • Complete the Right of Entry form (ROE). This allows Cal Re-Cycle, along with a licensed local contractor, to quickly and safely remove ALL debris so the site is ready for rebuild.
    • Complete the entire ROE and include all requested detailed information
      • There is a City version and a County version
    • Print the form, sign and FAX or Scan / Email to fax number or email address provided on the form at Section 11
  • CONTACT NEIGHBORS who also require debris removal and coordinate submission of the ROE forms. This allows removal teams to better coordinate their efforts and more rapidly clean neighborhoods.

The Shasta Builders’ Exchange encourages you to complete the ROE and not attempt removal of debris on your own (although you may legally do so).  These removal teams are well organized and very experienced.  The goal is to expedite the process so you may rebuild your home as quickly as possible.

NOTE: If your Homeowners Insurance provides a % for removal, the State will require you pay that to the State.  You will NOT be responsible for any costs above the % allotment.

For information on licensed general contractors, please contact the Shasta Builders’ Exchange at 530.221.5556 or visit www.shastabe.com.

TOGETHER, WE WILL REBUILD.
